Godzilla fans are eating well this year. Just days after Toho dropped the first trailer for their upcoming movie Godzilla: Minus One, Apple TV+ has shared the first trailer for the forthcoming MonsterVerse series MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS. The ten-episode sci-fi drama stars Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski, and takes place between Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

The series promises to be one of the jewels in Apple TV+’s winter crown and has a production value on par with its big-screen counterparts, which will delight monster fans everywhere. What’s more, the series boasts the inclusion of John Goodman who reprises his role as senior Monarch official William “Bill” Randa from Kong: Skull Island. The teaser reveals several glorious tropical destinations including Skull Island. As well as the Golden Gate Bridge which eventually gets demolished by the big Z! But don’t take my word for it. Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga – spanning three generations – reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.
