Matthew Vaughn’s latest movie, Argylle, makes us aware that The Greater The Spy, The Bigger The Lie! In cinemas February 2024.

Are you ready next year to meet Argylle?

That’s the hope of Apple Original Films, Universal Pictures and writer/director Matthew Vaughn. The movie is a spy action comedy that looks yet again to be a riot. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, John Cena, and Bryan Cranston. The film doesn’t open until February 2nd of next year. But today, the first trailer for the film dropped online. Let’s take our first look at Argylle.

THE PREMISE

From the twisted mind of Matthew Vaughn comes Argylle, a razor-witted, reality-bending, globe-encircling spy thriller.

Bryce Dallas Howard is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.

Accompanied by Aiden (Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begins to blur.

THE CAST AND CREW

The top-flight ensemble cast features Henry Cavill, and John Cena. Ariana DeBose, pop superstar Dua Lipa Bryan Cranston, and comedy icon Catherine O’Hara. Sofia Boutella, and the legendary Samuel L. Jackson. Alfie is played by Chip, the real-life cat of supermodel Claudia Vaughn (née Schiffer).

Matthew Vaughn directs and produces Argylle, with a screenplay by Jason Fuchs. Vaughn and Adam Bohling produce the film.. Jason Fuchs, and David Reid. The executive producers are Adam Fishbach, ZygiKamasa, Carlos Peres and Claudia Vaughn.

Argylle will be released on February 2nd, 2024 in cinemas. It will then premiere on Apple TV+ on an as-yet unannounced date.
