Eddie Murphy Brings Chaos to Christmas in Our First Look at Candy Cane Lane

Candy Cane Lane Premieres Globally on Prime Video on the 1st of December 2023. Celebrate the Holidays With Eddie Murphy! 

Are you ready to get into the holiday season with Eddie Murphy and Candy Cane Lane? The film will premiere globally on December 1st on Prime Video. The movie marks Murphy’s first foray into the holiday movie genre. He will reunite with director Reginald Hudlin. And producer Brian Grazer for the first time since their 1992 hit, Boomerang. The screenplay comes from Kelly Younger. Inspired by his own holiday experiences on the lane of the same name in El Segundo, California. After the release of the first images from the film a few days ago, the teaser trailer for the film has been released.

THE PREMISE

Eddie Murphy stars in this holiday comedy adventure about a man on a mission to win his neighbourhood’s annual Christmas home decoration contest. After Chris (Eddie Murphy) inadvertently makes a deal with a mischievous elf named Pepper (Jillian Bell) to better his chances of winning, she casts a magic spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life and wreaks havoc on the whole town. At the risk of ruining the holidays for his family, Chris, his wife Carol (Tracee Ellis Ross), and their three children must race against the clock to break Pepper’s spell, battle deviously magical characters, and save Christmas for everyone.
