The final adventure is swinging into action on Disney Plus. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny arrives this December
Look out Indy fans because INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY is swinging onto Disney Plus this December. The legendary obtainer of rare antiquities brought his adventures to an end in cinemas this year, but now fans can look forward to enjoying the ride at home. With the original four adventures already headlining the service, fans of Harrison Ford’s legendary archeologist have been yearning to discover when they can immerse themselves in his final quest. And now, we can all pencil the date in our diary because the adventure is landing in time for the holidays. But don’t take my word for it. Swing down to the reveal trailer below.
Yes, Indy is swinging on Disney Plus in the United States on December 1st. However, UK fans are going to be left to endure a frustrating wait to enjoy this final adventure. In a bizarre twist from the House of Mouse, the Dial of Destiny won’t be landing on Disney Plus UK until December 15th. This means fans in jolly ol’ England will be waiting two weeks longer than our cousins across the pond. But considering the UK’s theatrical run began a week before the USA, this is to be expected. But UK fans will undoubtedly view this delay as a sucker punch.
REVIEWS
In his review, Carl said “Once the opening twenty-five minutes are over (The best part of the film), what we are given isn’t the send-off the hero deserves. It is a labored, drawn out, and surprisingly at times, boring finale to the franchise. Rather than ride off into the sunset, Indy is dragged there slowly. What is supposed to be action-packed and exciting comes across as desperate, tired, and not all that thrilling. At no time are we really invested in any of the new characters as they are written so poorly that we forget them by the time the end credits have finished.”
The movie is directed by franchise newcomer James Mangold (Logan) and boasts the writing talents of Jez Butterworth, John Henry Butterworth, David Koepp, and James Mangold. Joining Harrison Ford in his final appearance is franchise debutant Pheobe Waller-Bridge as Indy’s rebellious goddaughter. Also attached to appear are Mads Mikkelsen, John Rhys-Davies, Toby Jones, and Boyd Holbrook. Legendary composer John Williams returns to score the final adventure with Steven Spielberg serving as a hands-on producer.
