Ryan Gosling is Colt Seavers in THE FALL GUY, directed by David Leitch
Based on the classic 1980s TV show, The Fall Guy will be bringing the stunts to the 2024 movie season! Watch the trailer here!
The Fall Guy was a TV show from the 1980s. It followed a Hollywood stuntman, Colt Seavers, who moonlighted as a bounty hunter. Seavers was played by the legendary Lee Majors, who was a favorite TV actor of mine ever since The Six Million Dollar Man first began. Also featuring Douglas Barr as Howie “Kid” Munson and Heather Thomas as Jody Banks, the show ran from 1981 to 1986. And included Majors singing the theme song to the show, “Unknown Stuntman”, which was later released as a single.
After several false starts, a big screen version of the film will be hitting screens in 2024. Directed by David Leitch, this new version stars Ryan Gosling as Colt, Emily Blunt as Jody, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Tom Ryder. Instead of the lighthearted tone of the TV show, the film is an action thriller. Also starring Stephanie Hsu, Winston Duke, Teresa Palmer, and Hannah Waddingham, the film will feature an appearance from Lee Majors himself. The first trailer for the film has been released today. Check it out below.
