Recently, Academy Award-winning directors Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg sat down in conversation with the DGA. The pair discussed Scorsese’s latest critically acclaimed movie Killers Of The Flower Moon. During the conversation held at the Director’s Guild Of America, they also discussed Scorsese’s long and varied career. The conversation held by the DGA was yet another terrific one.

Directed by Academy Award-winner Martin Scorsese, “Killers of the Flower Moon” is an epic Western crime saga. Where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal. Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), “Killers of the Flower Moon” tracks the suspicious murders of members of the Osage Nation. Who became some of the richest people in the world overnight after oil was discovered underneath their land. “Killers of the Flower Moon” also stars Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons. And is from a screenplay by Eric Roth and Martin Scorsese, based on David Grann’s #1 New York Times best-selling book.

Scorsese and his crew worked directly with the Osage Nation community prior to and throughout the production of the film. To be immersed in the language, and culture and to gather information from family stories to bring depth and nuance to the screen.
