Marvel Entertainment Reveals New BLADE Game From Deathloop Developers

Get ready to walk in the sunlight with the Daywalker. Bethesda and Arkane Lyon are developing a new BLADE game with Marvel. Watch the teaser here.

Are you ready to hunt some Vampires with BLADE? If you’re like me and desperate to enter the Daywalker‘s world and declare open season on suck heads, Bethesda and Arkane Lyon are about to make your dream a reality. The game developer has announced it is working on a mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris. What’s more, players will be slipping into the iconic leather trenchcoat of the legendary Marvel vampire hunter.

Ordinarily, this news alone would be more than enough to have us reaching for our silver stakes and the essence of garlic. But the fun doesn’t end there because the developer dropped the first trailer for the game. And believe me, it looks exceptional. But don’t take my word for it. Polish your sword and explore the world of the Daywalker below.

ARKANE LYON

Although the trailer gives us a taste of what we can expect to see from this incredible-looking title, fans will have to temper their excitement. Arkane has only just begun developing the game. But that hasn’t stopped Marvel from pushing the excitement button, as the synopsis suggests.

“In Marvel’s Blade, Eric Brooks is the legendary Daywalker, half-man, half-vampire torn between the warm society of the living and the rushing power of the undead. From Bethesda and Arkane Lyon, the studio that brought you Dishonored and “DEATHLOOP”, Marvel’s Blade is a mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris, now in development in collaboration with Marvel Games.

RELEASE

The release of this title is impeccable timing. Especially as the character is set to make his long-awaited debut in the MCU. And with Wesley Snipes’ iteration of the character still holding onto our affections, the timing couldn’t be better to drag us into a world populated by vampires.

Sadly, neither the developer nor the studio has confirmed an expected release date. But with the trailer already tantalizing fans around the world, the title will be well worth waiting for. After all, Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise has hit the ground running and hasn’t looked back. So if BLADE can replicate even a shred of the wall-crawler’s success, Arkane will have a winner. And I am 100% here for it.
