Empire has dropped new glow-in-the-dark covers for its GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE issue. Proton packs on, everyone!
The hype train for GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE has officially left the station. Or Firehouse! Just weeks after Sony Pictures treated us to the chilling first trailer, the containment unit is leaking more spectral awesomeness. Today, the team at Empire has debuted covers for their Ghostbusters issue. And if you were hoping to see the superstars of the supernatural in action, you’ve come to the right place.
The outlet has dropped three, yes THREE new covers for their newest issue that hits newsstands on January 18th. The first glow-in-the-dark cover features the Spengler family and Gary Grooberson as they prepare to fend off a horde of artic spooks. The second cover also glows in the dark and features the OG Busters in all their glory. Only they’re not alone. Annie Potts’ legendary Janine Melnitz has ditched her desk and slipped into a flight suit for this adventure. A plot point that will tickle fans of The Real Ghostbusters! And finally, the subscriber-exclusive cover features those lovable Mini-Pufts as they wreak havoc once again. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The long-awaited sequel will be the fourth outing for the original superstars of the supernatural. The movie will see the return of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace, Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd, Logan Kim, and Celeste O’Connor who all reprise their respective roles. Joining the cast for this outing are Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind. And finally, returning to the role of Walter Peck for the first time since the original Ghostbusters is screen legend William Atherton. But with Slimer and the Mini-Pufts on hand to raise the stakes, the long-awaited sequel just got a hefty dose of ectoplasmic awesomeness.

SYNOPSIS
In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old, must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire arrives in cinemas on March 29, 2024. The film was initially slated to release last December. But sadly, the project was pushed from its release due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes.
