This week on The Official Chart, The Creator arrives, and we spend Five Nights At Freddy’s, But The Marvels fly into the top spot!

THE UK TOP TEN
This week, we have no less than three new entries and one re-entry into the chart. With the arrival of these new titles, there’s no room left for The Exorcist: Believer, Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, or Elvis in the top ten. And we have yet another brand new number one title. What could it be? Time to go higher, faster, together as we find out.

THE MARVELS FLY STRAIGHT TO THE TOP!
The Marvels storms straight to Official Film Chart summit this week, debuting at Number 1. Marvel Studios sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel sees Carol Danvers (aka Captain Marvel), played by Brie Larsson, destroy the Supreme Intelligence; leaders of the Kree empire. A civil war ensues, leaving Hana, the Kree homeland, desolate and uninhabitable. But, with Captain Marvel now bearing the burden of some unwelcome consequences, can a long-awaited team-up of Danvers, Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) match the power of new Kree Emperor Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton)? THE CREATOR RETURNS!
A re-entry at Number 2 this week, is sci-fi blockbuster The Creator which sees a nuclear warhead detonated over 2055 Los Angeles. The film stars John David Washington as ex-special forces agent Joshua, recruited to hunt down and kill ‘the Creator’, an elusive AI architect who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war between humans and the forces of artificial intelligence – and humankind itself. THE TROLLS LOST THEIR NUMBER ONE SPOT!
Last week’s Number 1, Trolls Band Together, is down two places to Number 3. (Read our review here.)

OPPENHEIMER LOSING HEAT!
Also down this week is the highly nominated Oppenheimer at Number 4.

THE EQUALIZER GETS SHOT DOWN!
The Equalizer 3 gets shot down this week as it lands at Number 5.

THE SONGBIRDS AND SNAKES ARE STARVING!
The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes is starving as it falls three places to Number 6. (Read our review here.)

ANATOMY OF A FALL REFUSES TO FALL!
The critically acclaimed Anatomy Of A Fall refuses to move this week as it holds on at Number 7.

FANCY FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S?
Five Nights at Freddy’s is a brand-new entry at Number 8 this week. Based on the video game series of the same name, the Emma Tammi-directed supernatural horror sees protagonist Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson) take a job at Freddy Fazbar’s Pizza, before quickly discovering the establishment’s dark history. BARBIE CONTINUES TO FALL!
Barbie continues to melt in the chart heat as she falls four places to Number 9. (Read our review here.)

THE KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON RISE!
And, finally, fresh of the Oscar nominations Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon rebounds back into the Top 10, up 10 to Number 10. With members of the Osage Indian tribe being killed off one-by-one after the group gain wealth through oil, the massacre leads to an FBI investigation.

CAN WONKA FORCE HIS WAY IN?
And that is this week’s top ten titles. Waiting in the wings, however, is the prequel movie Wonka (Read our review here.) The film, starring Timothee Chalamet, has hit PVOD this Monday.
