Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes

Wes Ball brings us the next chapter in the Apes saga with Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes. Hitting screens on May 10th.

Apes Together Strong! After the climax of 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes, it was only a matter of time before we revisited our Simian cousins. It has taken seven years but this summer, we will be dropping by to see how they are doing. Director Wes Ball is bringing his first chapter of a new planned trilogy to us with Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes.

The film focuses on Noa, a young chimpanzee born nearly 300 years after Caesar’s time. Owen Teague portrays Noa via motion capture. He is supported by Freya Allan as Mae, a feral young woman. Kevin Durand as Proximus Caesar, a powerful bonobo ruler, and Neil Sandilands as Koro, a chimp elder from Noa’s tribe. The new trailer has been released during the Superbowl.

PREMISE

Nearly 300 years after the events of War for the Planet of the Apes, ape civilizations have emerged from the oasis to which Caesar led his fellow apes. While humans have regressed into a feral, primitive state. The ape leader, Proximus Caesar, perverts Caesar’s teachings to enslave other clans in search for remnants of human technologies. Noa, a common chimpanzee, embarks on a harrowing journey. Alongside a young human named Mae to determine the future for apes and humans alike.
