A masterpiece: a great film, and a great work of art.”-BBC. It has won three BAFTAs (including Film not in the English Language). The film/artist/actor in question has earned five Academy Award nominations and three Golden Globe nominations. It has already won the Grand Prix and FIPRESCI Prizes at the Cannes Film Festival. SYNOPSIS
In 1943, Rudolf Höss, commandant of the Auschwitz concentration camp, lives with his wife Hedwig. And their five children in an idyllic home next to the camp. Höss takes the children out to swim and fish.
