Lucasfilm and Epic Games announced a new collaboration between Fortnite and Star Wars, set to debut on May 3.
Exciting news for fans of Fortnite and Star Wars! Epic Games and Lucasfilm have announced a new collaboration that will launch on May 3, just in time for “May The Fourth” celebrations. Fans of both platforms can look forward to a special event that promises to be unforgettable. Epic Games has recently revealed a Wookiee bow rifle, which Han Solo’s co-pilot, Chewbacca, typically uses. This has led to speculation that Chewbacca might finally be added to the game. Additionally, there have been hints of a new skin for Princess Leia Organa, but this has not been officially confirmed yet.

PREVIOUS COLLABORATIONS
It’s worth noting that the event above is just one among many that the duo has collaborated on. In the past, they have teamed up to offer an exclusive Find the Force Quest pack, which, upon completion, unlocked all-new cosmetics and additional features that made May 4th of the previous year a day to remember. Furthermore, users willing to pay an extra 1,000 V-Bucks were granted access to the Premium Reward Track, which offered even greater rewards. So, fans will hope for another exciting quest pack to grab some exclusive skins and cosmetics.
Which characters will be added to Fortnite’s impressive list of franchise heroes? So far, the Original Trilogy has been represented by Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, and the Imperial Stormtrooper. The Mando-Verse has been represented by Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, Krrsantan, and The Mandalorian. Kylo Ren, Zorii Bliss, Finn, the Sith Trooper, and Rey Skywalker have joined the fight for the Sequel Trilogy. Most recently, a group of Clone Troopers, alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Padmé Amidala, Ahsoka Tano, and Darth Maul, have been added to the collection from the Prequel era.
FEEL THE FORCE
During last year’s event, Epic Games teased the arrival of Emperor Palpatine and the classic Trade Federation Battle Droids. So fans will be hoping to see these teasers come to fruition. With the collaboration of Star Wars and Fortnite, anything is possible this year. Disney recently invested significant money into Epic Games stock, and they are working hard to establish the Disney Fortnite era. Therefore, fans can make a wishlist of their favorite characters and features.
The Cantina Band theme has been rumored to debut as a Jam Track in the Fortnite Festival. Fans will be able to play the classic instruments once played in Mos Eisley’s infamous cantina, allowing them to perform the theme on stage.
Of course, at this stage, this is all rumor, so fans will have to take the news with a big pinch of salt. But with Chewbacca already being hinted at, Fortnite and Lucasfilm just delivered an update worthy of the Force.
