Toss a coin to your new Witcher. Liam Hemsworth slips into Henry Cavill’s shoes as Geralt of Rivia in our first look at The Witcher Season 4
Netflix has released the first look at THE WITCHER Season 4. We’ve known for some time that Liam Hemsworth would replace Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, but fans have wondered what the transition would look like since the news came out. Now, Netflix has put us out of our misery by sharing the first image from the new season. This news alone would be enough for us to toss a coin to our Witcher, but Netflix went one better by releasing the first teaser for the show.
The first clip doesn’t give much away, but it shows us a taste of what’s to come in the new season. In the footage, we see Geralt of Rivia walking through a swamp with his horse, Roach. The teaser ends with Liam Hemsworth turning to the camera and finally revealing his face. Check it out below.
SYNOPSIS
After the shocking, Continent-altering events that close out season three, the new season follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri who are faced with traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons apart from each other. If they can embrace and lead the groups of misfits they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire and finding one another again.
THE CREW
The series amassed a wealth of writing talent to bring the penultimate season to life. Alongside writer/showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. The series boasts the writing talents of Tania Lotia, Rae Benjamin, Troy Dangerfield, Matthew D’Ambrosio, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Clare Higgins, and Mike Ostrowski. The directorial staff for the new season includes Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, Tricia Brock, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Jeremy Webb.
The executive producers on the season are Steve Gaub, Mike Ostrowski, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Platige Films (Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko), and Hivemind Content (Jason Brown and Sean Daniel).

In the new season, Liam Hemsworth will replace Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. Anya Chalotra will return as Yennefer of Vengerberg, along with Freya Allan (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) as Princess Cirilla of Cintra and Joey Batey as Jaskier. RELEASE
Netflix has not confirmed the release date for the new season and has not released a teaser poster. However, with the first teaser emerging from Kaer Morhen, it seems like the new season is not far away. Could we be getting new episodes during the festive period?
