THE SERIES
The series has divided the fan base. While some fans found the bold interpretation of the source material refreshing, others felt that the changes to the formula were too much. However, the rest of the fan base equally adored the series and appreciated the fresh narrative as a bold departure from anything we have seen from the franchise before. Our team is divided on the quality of the series. Many of our writers loved it, while others feel it has not justified its existence. This difference in opinion is reflected in the range of reviews we have published on the site.

REVIEWS
In his THREE-STAR REVIEW, our Editor Phil Roberts said, “The Acolyte has made a strong start. Guided by Leslye Headland, the series skillfully delves into the Jedi lore. The visuals are stunning, and the fight scenes are incredibly well-choreographed. It’s a rich and fulfilling Star Wars series. However, some issues need to be overcome to be embraced by the broader world of Star Wars. However, with its fantastic new characters and an outstanding performance from Lee Jung-jae, the series has opened the door to a new era of Star Wars storytelling, which is an exciting prospect.”
In his FIVE STAR REVIEW, our Collectables Editor Thomas Storai said, “The Acolyte delivers an intense and action-packed episode, its best yet and the best episode of Star Wars television. It features nonstop lightsaber fights with fantastic choreography. Undoubtedly, it keeps you on the edge of your seat—an emotional rollercoaster!”

THE FUTURE
The mixed response to the show will likely make Disney reconsider renewing it for another season. The show ended with an exciting hint at what could come next if it gets renewed, especially with the introduction of a certain Sith Lord. However, the relationship between Qimir and Osha may be central to any potential future storylines.
It is uncertain if Disney is willing to endure the negative feedback. With Leslye Headland proving herself a valuable addition to Lucasfilm’s creative team, there is surely potential for more stories from her in our beloved galaxy far, far away.
