The long-awaited sequel to Ridley Scott’s mythological classic is emerging from the Colosseum in November, and the studio is eager to ensure we are suitably ready for battle. The poster is pretty straightforward, just featuring Maximus’ iconic armor from the first movie, now becoming a legend as time passes. However, his impact continues, and a new uprising is on the horizon as Rome faces another oppressive regime. But before we get lost in the myths and legends of ancient Rome, check out the new poster below.

SYNOPSIS
Several decades after the events of Gladiator. Lucius, the grandson of Rome’s former emperor Marcus Aurelius and son of Lucilla, lives with his wife and child in Numidia. While opposing the rule of the young emperors Caracalla and Geta.
RETURN TO THE COLOSSEUM
The recently released trailer was a jaw-dropping spectacle. With Denzel Washington’s “You Will Be My Instrument” still ringing in our ears, the two-minute bonanza showcased some visceral Gladiator action. The trailer was nothing short of spectacular, from Rhinos in the Colosseum to the building filled with water and vessels battling on the makeshift waves. But has the 24-year gap since the last film made people less excited for the sequel? Can Ridley Scott recreate the original’s magic and make the sequel just as impactful? Only time will tell. But the visionary director has created a spectacular cast to bring his sequel to the screen.
The movie features Paul Mescal as Lucius, the grandson of Romes, a former emperor. The cast also includes Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Lior Raz, Derek Jacobi, Connie Nielsen, and Denzel Washington.
