Welcome To The Official Film Chart.
THE UK TOP TEN
This week sees a single new entry and two re-entries into the chart. To make way for these three titles, it is a sad farewell to A Quiet Place: Day One, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and Knuckles. But what is sitting pretty at the top spot this week? Whatcha gonna do as we take our look?

THE BAD BOYS RIDE OR DIE TO THE TOP SPOT!
Bad Boys: Ride or Die flies into Number 1 on the Official Film Chart. After three weeks hovering at the top end of the chart, the film lifts three places this week. The sequel to Bad Boys For Life and the fourth instalment of the Bad Boys series of films starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence enjoys its new peak position following its release on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD. (Read our review here.)

INSIDE OUT 2 FINALLY GETS TURNED AROUND!
After a month of holding the top spot, Inside Out 2 ends its reign as the chart champion as it drops a place to Number 2.

THE MINIONS STILL REFUSE TO MOVE!
Animated sequel Despicable Me 4 holds at Number 3.

TWISTERS GETS BLOWN OFF COURSE!
Disaster film Twisters drops to Number 4. (Read our review here.)

THOSE BIKERIDERS STAY PUT!
Drama film The Bikeriders holds tight at its Number 5 peak.

THE CHART GETS CAUGHT IN A TRAP!
This week’s highest new entry is M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller, Trap, starring Josh Hartnett at Number 6. A father and his daughter attend a pop concert, but the gig is being used as a front to weed out a serial killer. Surrounded by armed police, rigged security cameras and of course the danger of ‘The Butcher’, will anyone make it out safely?

THE FELLOWSHIP HOLD TIGHT!
The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring holds at Number 7 again.

DUNE PART TWO GETS BLOWN BACK INTO THE CHART!
Dune: Part Two rebounds back into the Top 10, up seven places this week to Number 8. (Read our review here.)

THE TWO TOWERS RISE!
The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers earns a new peak at Number 9.

ITS A HATTRICK OF HOBBITS!
Finally, The Lord Of The Rings: The Return of the King rises three to Number 10.

DO YOU FANCY A TRIP INTO THE BORDERLANDS?
And that is this week’s top ten best-selling/ renting movies. Hitting PVOD this week is the big-screen adaptation of the video game Borderlands. The film features a cast including Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Edgar Ramirez, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Gina Gershon, and Jamie Lee Curtis. The film received negative reviews from critics and became a box-office bomb. (Read our review here.) Originally, the film was shot with a more adult rating in mind but underwent reshoots to tone it down to a PG-13/ 12A rating. To my mind, this severely handicapped the film and led to audiences giving the film a wide berth. However, if you fancy taking a trip out to the Borderlands early, you can rent the film for £15.99 or buy it for £19.99.

Will the film manage to make a dent in next week’s chart? Or will those Bad Boys or the Emotions manage to hold off all comers? There’s only one way to find out. Join me again next week to see how things play out. So, until then…
Whatever you decide, whatever you buy, stay safe, be kind, look after each other, and happy viewing!
