Back in 2022, the original horror movie Smile opened in cinemas. (Read our review here.) The film was an enjoyably scary horror movie that was entertaining enough. However, some parts of the film felt ambiguous and incomplete. Now, we discover that that was the plan all along. Written and directed once again by Parker Finn, October 18th sees the release of the sequel, Smile 2. Based on Finn’s short film Laura Hasn’t Slept, as the original film was, the sequel sees Kyle Gallner as Joel, reprising his role from the first film.

Lukas Gage stars in Paramount Pictures Presents A Temple Hill Production A Parker Finn FIlm “SMILE 2”

Joining Gallner for this follow-up are Naomi Scott, Lukas Gage, and Rosemarie DeWitt. Dylan Gelula, Raúl Castillo, and Miles Gutierrez-Riley also appear in the film. Considering the climax of the first film saw the curse passed from Sosie Bacon’s character Rose to Joel, the film will almost certainly see him suffering with the same things Rose encountered. The final trailer for the sequel has been revealed. Prepare yourself as it wants all of you as we take a last look.
