Signature Entertainment is proud to present the UK trailer & artwork for the sci-fi thriller Slingshot. Starring Laurence Fishburne. Casey Affleck. And David Morrissey, the film is releasing on digital platforms on 4 November and on DVD on 18 November. The film was penned by R. Scott Adams and Nathan Parker, with Mikael Håfström serving as the director. Also featuring Emily Beecham, Tomer Capone and Mark Ebulué, it follows the character of John, played by Affleck, who loses his grip on reality after waking from a deep hibernation.
THE PREMISE
Waking from a deep hibernation, John finds himself lost in space and losing a grip on reality aboard the spacecraft Odyssey-1. Whilst on a 9-year mission to solve Earth’s dire energy crisis. During psychological evaluations, he has flashbacks to a past relationship with Zoe. But fellow astronaut Captain Franks assures him that she was just a plant by NASA to test his emotional stability. In a desperate attempt to make sense of this before returning to hibernation, John needs to make contact with Earth to discover the truth.
Starring Casey Affleck (Manchester by the Sea). Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix). David Morrissey (The Walking Dead). Tomer Capone (The Boys) and Emily Beecham (Daphne). Slingshot was penned by R. Scott Adams alongside Nathan Parker, known for Moon, and directed by Mikael Håfström of 1408 fame.
