Signature Entertainment is proud to present the UK trailer for the coming-of-age biopic Winner, based on the life of NSA whistleblower Reality Winner, releasing on Digital Platforms on 4 November. The film features Emelia Jones as Reality Winner with support from Connie Britton, Zach Galifianakis, Kathryn Newton and Danny Ramirez.
PREMISE
WINNER is the fascinating true story of Reality Winner (yes that’s her real name). A brilliant young misfit from Texas who finds her morals challenged while serving in the US Air Force and working as an NSA contractor. This is not your traditional whistleblower drama. It is a fresh, comedic, heartfelt, coming-of-age story that follows an idealistic young woman persecuted for standing by her principles. Reality garnered international attention after revealing Russia’s interference in the 2016 US presidential election, resulting in a five-and-a-half-year prison sentence. The longest sentence ever given to someone charged under the Espionage Act for leaking a government document.
