Unleash the King of the Monsters in Fortnite x Godzilla. Explore the Japanese-inspired season with new weapons, characters, and a possible playable Godzilla skin.
Fortnite is gearing up for something massive. As the current OG season approaches its finale, Epic Games has unveiled new key art for the upcoming Chapter 6 Battle Pass, which looks absolutely stunning. This season will feature a distinct Japanese influence alongside a wide array of new weapons, mods, masks, and characters to unlock. And guess what? GODZILLA is making his grand entrance! That’s right—the King of the Monsters is set to join the new map, and if the rumors pan out, he may even be a playable character.

Fans and leakers have been buzzing about how a Godzilla skin might function in the game, considering he’s a colossal creature. However, the new formula that brought characters like the Giant Chicken from Family Guy into play has set a precedent for a scaled-down version of such iconic characters. This approach has worked well with characters like Optimus Prime and the Chicken, so it stands to reason that a Godzilla skin could be fantastic. After all, who wouldn’t want to dash around as a miniaturized version of Godzilla?

A NEW BATTLE PASS
With Evolved Godzilla, the version from Godzilla x Kong: A New Empire, being a playable skin, all signs point to the monster playing a significant part in the new season. In addition to the skin, there is the potential for the character to become a map boss or a live event threat in the season finale, similar to Doctor Doom in the recent Marvel Battle Pass. Doom grew to enormous proportions and rampaged across the map – so this could be how Godzilla impacts the new season. But will KING KONG be joining him?
If you’re not already excited about the new season thanks to Godzilla, the freshly unveiled key art features some intriguing characters you’ll want to know about. Alongside Japanese-inspired versions of Hope and Jones, a standout surprise is the inclusion of Baymax from Disney’s Big Hero 6. This character marks the latest addition to Disney’s expanding footprint in the game, following icons from The Incredibles and a trio of Disney Villains. Given that Big Hero 6 draws heavily from Japanese culture, Baymax’s presence perfectly fits this season.
