Get ready for James Gunn’s Superman! Don’t miss the breathtaking motion poster featuring David Corenswet and the iconic John Williams score.
Finally, the first poster for James Gunn’s Superman has arrived from Krypton. In case you missed it, the stunning poster features David Corenswet’s Man of Steel soaring through the skies, embodying the true spirit of the character. Typically, this news alone would be enough to excite fans, but it gets even better. While DC fans were busy admiring the beautiful poster, James Gunn took to social media to elevate the excitement. He shared a motion version of the poster, including a preview of John Murphy’s new score.
I hope you’re sitting down because the music accompanying the poster features the iconic Superman theme composed by the legendary John Williams for the Man of Steel’s cinematic debut in 1978. This heartfelt tribute to Christopher Reeve’s Superman captures Gunn’s vision for his reimagined hero, who is expected to follow the Reeve tradition. RELEASE
I don’t know about you, but this new motion poster has genuinely amazed me. Growing up with Christopher Reeve as Superman, John Williams’s iconic theme, means a lot to me. Hearing it refreshed and revitalized for David Corenswet is very special. Whether or not John Murphy will use the entire theme in his soundtrack remains to be seen. However, just like the ‘S’ on the Man of Steel’s chest, it gives us hope! Check back on Thursday for the debut of the very first trailer.
James Gunn’s Superman will fly into cinemas on July 11, 2025, from DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures.
