“The penultimate episode of Skeleton Crew is a thrilling one in which Jude Law delivers a sensationally mad performance revealing his character’s true face.”
We’re already at the end of the journey, today is the penultimate episode of Skeleton Crew. Episodes are released weekly on Wednesdays in the UK at 2 a.m. and on Tuesdays in the US at 6 p.m. PT on Disney +.
JOD THE MAD PIRATE

It was clear from the moment Jod Na Nawood betrayed the kids in episode 5 that he wasn’t a good guy. But, this episode truly shows how bad he is. So far, Jod has been very much a Han Solo type of character and the best attempt at it since the original one. He’s been really goofy at times and he continues to be at the beginning of this episode until he completely switches to full villain mode. Undoubtedly, there is no turning back for this character now. He’s the real villain of this series. From the moment he switches his personality and reveals who he really is, he actually becomes scary. In fact, he’s a nasty pirate who is driven by greed. He is not afraid of killing and threatening anyone who stands in his way.
With this episode, Jod becomes a character you love to hate. He’s a despicable villain but one who looks cool with that trench coat and a lightsaber! Trench coats and capes always make a difference. Besides, seeing Jod using a lightsaber is actually pure awesomeness. This still begs the question, how does he know so much about Jedi arts. Jude Law delivers a sensationally mad performance. He deserves to be considered for an Emmy nomination.
BACK TO AT ATTIN

The end is near as the characters are making their way home to At Attin while bringing problems there. Everything is coming together now. This episode not only reveals Jod’s true face but also more about At Attin. From start to finish it’s a thrilling episode. However, it ends with such a big cliffhanger that the wait for the finale is going to be a long one. Jon Watts and his team knew exactly what they were doing when they decided to end this episode the way it does!
Moreover, Skeleton Crew continues to be a visually stunning series. It may be a series but it’s something that could have been made for the big screen. The ships all look so real. Using a miniature for the Onyx Cinder really makes all the difference. This series has been using old school filmmaking techniques and the results are proof that practical effects remain the best. Finally, this episode brings yet another famous guest star to Star Wars. Though, it is just his voice for now. We finally hear the Supervisor and he is voiced by none other than British actor Stephen Fry. It is pretty much a given that we will see his face in the finale next week.
