USA Today has shared a fresh look at Jonathan Bailey’s Dr. Henry Loomis in Jurassic World: Rebirth.
Aside from some juicy official images and set updates from Frank Marshall, details about JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH are scarce. The upcoming relaunch of the Jurassic Park franchise is heading our way in July, and it promises to take the franchise in a bold new direction. Directed by Gareth Edwards and written by Jurassic Park scribe David Koepp, the film promises to take the saga back to its roots. With a fresh cast led by the unswerving Scarlett Johansson and a story that puts the dinosaurs front and center, the film has all the hallmarks of sensational relaunch.
While principal photography for the film has concluded, there hasn’t been any new information released from Universal Pictures’ amber-encrusted vault. However, thanks to the team at USA Today, we now have a fresh image of Jonathan Bailey to delve into. In this new picture, Bailey’s character, Dr. Henry Loomis, is seen perched in a tree with his trusty backpack. Take a look at it below.

LIFE FINDS A WAY
In the film, Paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis is assigned to Zora Bennett’s (Scarlett Johansson) team, tasked with acquiring DNA from the last remaining giant dinosaur species. Mahershala Ali stars as Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s partner, while Jonathan Bailey completes the trio.
“It goes back to what I loved about the original,” Edwards told Empire. “With an embarrassment of riches of different set-piece-type scenarios and tense, fun action moments. There were a lot of opportunities as a filmmaker to have a lot of fun and try and play games with the audience.” Set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, it continues the dinos-in-the-wild premise established across that trilogy, while beginning “a whole new chapter in the timeline of Jurassic”.
SYNOPSIS
Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.

While Edwards didn’t spill the beans on which dinosaurs will be in the film, he did share that “there are certain dinosaurs it would be a crime against cinema not to include.” This means fans can get ready to reunite with some of their all-time favorite dino pals along the way! The Jurassic franchise has treated us to so many unforgettable moments over the years. From the sounds of it, JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH is shaping up to be another fantastic addition! It’s great to see David Koepp back in charge, guiding the film along its exciting journey. Plus, with Gareth Edwards directing, I have a feeling it’ll be one of the biggest hits of 2025. I can’t wait to see it!
