Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega star in Death of a Unicorn

Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd find themselves hunted by a mythological monster in the new trailer for A24’s Death of a Unicorn.

A24 has shared a chilling new trailer for Jenna Ortega’s Death of a Unicorn. The dark and twisted creature feature completed principal photography at the back end of 2023 and has flown under the radar until now. But with the film scheduled to hit cinema screens on April 4th, A24 is ready to give us a taste of what to expect from the chilling black comedy.

The movie features Jenna Ortega, Paul Rudd, Will Poulter, Téa Leoni, and Richard E. Grant, and it’s as wild as it sounds. Rudd and Ortega play a father-daughter pair who accidentally run over a UNICORN with their car. Yeah, you read that right—a Unicorn! With a dinner date with Rudd’s boss coming up, they decide to take the body along and try to sell it for some cash.

What could possibly go wrong? A lot, actually! Especially when another angry Unicorn shows up. But don’t just take my word for it—check out the trailer below!

THE MASTER RETURNS

When the first trailer dropped, we got the exciting news that the legendary horror maestro John Carpenter is returning to the genre he’s known for with this film. He’s teaming up with Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies to whip up the film’s score, so we can look forward to some seriously spooky sounds to go along with the visuals. And with Richard E. Grant playing Rudd’s greedy boss, the movie is definitely shaping up to be something special.
