“The second episode of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is intense and action-packed. It raises the stakes and further explores the dynamic between the characters in a compelling way. This is an highly entertaining series!”

It’s Monday, so it’s time for a new episode of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. This one is based on the manga of the same name created by Hideyuki Furuhashi, Betten Court, and Kohei Horikoshi. The first two episodes are now streaming on Crunchyroll, episodes release weekly on Mondays.

The second episode picks up exactly where we left off with the series premiere. It was an exciting cliffhanger as the Erasure Hero was about to face Knuckleduster. This one jumps right into the fight. It’s an intense and action-packed episode that also brings a lot of fun. In fact, it further develops the introduction set up last week with the characters and the stakes. The first two episodes really act as part one and part two of a single big episode. If you watch them back to back, it just makes sense.

Moreover, the dynamic of this group of vigilantes is one that works incredibly well. Knuckleduster, Pop☆Step and Koichi Haimawari are very different from each other and yet they do complete each other on their quest. Even though, Koichi is the lead, Knuckleduster and Pop☆Step still have their own moments too. But speaking of Koichi, he continues to be this adorable character everyone is rooting for. He is the heart of this series.

Though, this is the second episode, the series already goes big with this one. Indeed, the threat they are facing is on another level. This is quite the challenge, especially for Pop☆Step and Koichi Haimawari who are new in this world of vigilantes. They need to learn how to fight. Having this type of difficult challenge right from the start makes this series even more exciting. It’s not afraid to put its characters to the test. This gives an idea of what to expect next. If the rest of the season is as good as this, we are in for a ride!

The team behind these series know how to animate fight scenes. Whether, it’s a fight against a huge villain or a small fight in a park, the animators treat them with the same respect and bring the intensity needed. Bones Film never fails to deliver with its animation quality. These are striking visuals.
