The New Motion Poster for James Gunn's Superman Takes Us Beyond the Clouds

Discover the breathtaking new motion poster for James Gunn’s Superman, where David Corenswet rises triumphantly into the sky!

Finally, the new trailer for James Gunn’s Superman will arrive from Krypton this Wednesday. Typically, this news alone would be enough to excite fans, but it gets even better. While DC fans were busy preparing for the big reveal, James Gunn took to social media to dial the excitement to eleven. Just like the previous trailer release, the DC head honcho posted a stunning motion poster to pour more fuel into the hype train.

The incredible new motion poster follows David Corenswet’s Man of Steel as he takes to the skies and rises above the clouds in all his glory. The poster also gives us a glimpse at Krypto, the lovable super-pooch, before setting the stage for this Wednesday’s trailer reveal. But before we get lost in nostalgia, scroll down and hit play on the link below.

I’ve been waiting too long to share this with you all! Full #Superman Trailer this Wednesday.

THE MAN OF STEEL RETURNS

James Gunn’s impressive cast features David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. They will be joined by Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.

RELEASE

I don’t know about you, but this new motion poster has only heightened my excitement. James Gunn is pulling out all the stops to ensure that Superman lands with a triumphant boom, without a shard of Kryptonite in sight. The film looks fantastic. If James Gunn can create the ultimate love letter to the Man of Steel and unite the divided fanbase, everything will be right in the world again. His first challenge will be winning over the SnyderVerse fans, followed by the need to satisfy the classic DC fans. Unfortunately, this is not an easy task, but based on the footage we’ve seen so far, I believe Gunn is poised to deliver one of the best Man of Steel films to date.

Whether the DC head honcho can do the unthinkable and deliver the definitive Superman film remains to be seen. However, just like the ‘S’ on the Man of Steel’s chest, it gives us hope! Check back on Wednesday for the debut of the latest trailer.

James Gunn’s Superman will fly into cinemas on July 11, 2025, from DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures.
