Are you ready for a Freakier Friday? Some twenty-two years after the original film, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are back with the fantasy comedy sequel. Both reprise their roles from the 2003 remake as Tess and Anna Coleman respectively. Now, though, Tess has a granddaughter, Anna’s daughter, who is thrown into the mix. Anna is also about to gain a step-daughter. Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Ryan Malgarini, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Stephen Tobolowsky, Lucille Soong and Rosalind Chao are also reprising their respective roles from the original film. New cast members include Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto and Sophia Hammons. The film’s new trailer is now out.
PREMISE
“Freakier Friday,” the exciting sequel to the beloved 2003 film, brings a multigenerational twist with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan returning to the big screen. Mark your calendars for its nationwide release in theaters in 2025! In the film, Curtis and Lohan reprise their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman. The story picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.
