The eighth episode of the season is titled “Four-and-a-Half Vulcans” and was written by Dana Horgan & Henry Alonso Myers, and directed by Jordan Canning.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount as Captain Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Number One, and Ethan Peck as Spock. Joining the crew for their five-year mission are Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, and Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga. Carol Kane and Martin Quinn round out the bridge crew for season three as chief engineer Pelia and Montgomery Scott, respectively. Paul Wesley guest stars in the role of James T. Kirk.
