MGM+ has released the first look at Billy the Kid Season 3. The long-awaited final season is premiering on the streamer on September 28, and fans are hungry to learn what happened in the aftermath of the Lincoln County War. But with Pat Garrett closing in, can Billy and his band of Young Guns survive one last ride? Or will it all end in a blaze of glory? Thankfully, with just weeks to go until the season premiere, MGM+ has released the first trailer for the new episodes and shared some glorious key art for our enjoyment. Let’s take a look at the trailer below.
THE SERIES
Billy the Kid resumes following the end of the Lincoln County War, as both Billy the Kid and Sheriff Pat Garrett have important issues to resolve — there is a reckoning to come. Billy is still at large, and Garrett is out to capture him, dead or alive. And with a bounty on his head, Billy has the opportunity to quit New Mexico altogether and pursue a future with Dulcinea, the love of his life. But he has unfinished business with Garrett, who has betrayed him, and decides to stay. Meanwhile Jesse Evans, Billy’s longtime friend, rival, and enemy, also remains in Lincoln, searching for a newfound purpose and perhaps atonement for his sins. As the saga comes to a close, Billy will fight like hell to try to finally find the justice that has long eluded him, even if it means he’ll die trying.

What a phenomenal new trailer. This series looks exceptional and is a shoo-in to shoot straight to the top of our Autumn watchlist. With its impressive cast, wild west action, and outstanding production value, the new season looks set to bow out in a blaze of glory. And that is an enticing prospect. But which side will prevail? Will Pat Garrett finally get his man? Or will William H. Bonney ride off into the sunset? All will be revealed when the new season kicks off on September 28.
Billy the Kid S3 premieres on 28th September on MGM+ in the UK. The entire first season will also be available to stream for free from August 29th to September 28th in both the UK and Italy.
