In the latest teaser for the Fortnite x Mighty Morphin Power Rangers MegaZord event, a new skin for Lord Zedd has been announced.
Look out, Power Rangers fans, because Zord Zedd is coming to Fortnite. The Fortnite x Mighty Morphin Power Rangers collaboration has been a blast so far. But until now, the partnership has been limited to the heroes defending Angel Grove. But today, the latest teaser for the upcoming Mega Zord event has revealed that the arrival of the evil Lord Zedd is imminent. In the teaser, the Rangers assemble the Mega Zord and battle the Queen Bug. But watching from the sidelines is the menacing super villain, pointing at the Zord in frustration.
But don’t turn into one of Rita Repulsa’s monsters. Check out the teaser below via EveryDayFN.
THE SKIN
Unfortunately, there aren’t any details about the skin yet. But regular leaker Shiina dropped some hints that it’ll come with at least one emote and a pickaxe. But it is wonderful to see the villains from the franchise getting some love. Fans are buzzing with excitement over the possibility of adding new members to the villain horde, which would bolster Lord Zedd’s ranks! With Rita Repulsa’s Boon already in the game, she’s a strong contender for inclusion. There is further evidence supporting her inclusion: when the Rangers enter the Mega Zord’s control room, you can hear Rita yell, “Make my monster grow” just before the Bug Queen appears. This suggests that Rita Repulsa will be making an appearance very soon.
Beyond Rita, Goldar, the loyal henchman to both Repulsa and Zedd, would make a fantastic addition, or perhaps Baboo, or Scorpina. The list is endless. Maybe even Bulk and Skull will pop in for a gunfight ot two! But the variety of monsters available opens up a world of thrilling collaboration opportunities…and that is very exciting!
RELEASE
The new collaboration between Fortnite and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is available in the item shop now until September 25th. Lord Zedd is expected to make his debut sometime next week. Expect more to be revealed when the next update for the game hits on September 18th. Will Rita Repulsa be joining the fray? Will Goldar, Baboo, or more of Rita’s monsters be unleashing mayhem on the map? All will be revealed soon.
