Look out, Springfield fans, because The Simpsons are back! Twenty years after the first movie hit our screens, the long-awaited sequel to The Simpsons movie has a release date. Although the studio hasn’t revealed much about the film, a gloriously fun post on social media showed the first poster, which reveals that Homer’s coming back for seconds. Furthermore, it confirms that the film will be released on July 23, 2027. Check it out below.

Although details about the film are scarce, fans of The Simpsons will be salivating at the prospect of another big-screen adventure with the legendary family. The first movie, although not as monumental as we’d all hoped, delivered a hilarious outing for the residents of Springfield. Not only was the town covered in a vast glass dome, but it was the birthplace of the hilarious Spider-Pig!
Where the sequel will take us is anyone’s guess. But with a treasure trove of hilarious hijinks behind us, fans young and old will be lining up for another bite at the donut!
