THE OFFICIAL UK TOP TEN

This week sees a single new entry and one re-entry into the placings. This means there is no longer any room for Weapons, and Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy. Additionally, we have a brand-new number one title. What could it be? Could it be something fantastic?

THE NEW NUMBER ONE IS SOMETHING FANTASTIC!

We have a new Official Film Chart Number 1 this week, with Fantastic Four – First Steps landing straight at the summit. Marvel’s “First Family” makes its triumphant return as Fantastic Four – First Steps launches straight to Number 1. The film introduces audiences to a bold new take on Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm as they grapple with extraordinary powers and their place in a changing world. Critics and fans alike are hailing it as the start of an exciting new chapter for the MCU.

The chilling sequel to Danny Boyle’s genre-defining films infects the chart at Number 2. 28 Years Later fast-forwards nearly three decades into a devastated world still haunted by the Rage Virus. With shocking twists, terrifying new imagery and a gripping survival story, it’s already being called one of the most powerful horror revivals in recent memory.

LOCK AND LOAD WITH THE NAKED GUN!

One of the year’s most surprising, enjoyable, and well-reviewed movies, the reboot of the classic spoof franchise, The Naked Gun, is now available to buy. The film features Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin Jr, taking over from the late Leslie Nielsen. Also starring Pamela Anderson, the film shocked everyone by actually being hilariously funny and brilliant fun. Everyone thought the film would be a huge misfire. How wrong we and they were. If you feel in the mood for something stupidly funny, the film is now available to buy for £13.99.

Paul Walter Hauser plays Ed Hocken Jr. and Liam Neeson plays Frank Drebin Jr. in the Naked Gun from Paramount Pictures.

Can The Naked Gun take down The Fantastic Four at the top of the chart next week? There’s only one way to find out. Join me again next week as we see what’s hot and what’s not on UK home entertainment. So, until next time…

Whatever you decide, whatever you buy, stay safe, be kind, look after each other, and happy viewing!!
