MUBI presents Let’s Eat! Food And Film, a celebration of cinema’s most memorable meals spanning all of MUBI’s global platforms.
MUBI, the global film distributor, streaming service, and production company, is excited to share additional programme highlights. These are part of their new season, LET’S EAT! FOOD AND FILM. The season spans MUBI’s global streaming platform, the MUBI Podcast, and Notebook magazine. It also includes a number of special in-person events. It explores the rich relationship between food and cinema across decades, cultures, and genres. The season features works, contributions, and insights from Kelly Reichardt, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Trân Anh Hùng, Alfred Hitchcock, George Miller, Eileen Myles, and more.
Announced today as part of LET’S EAT! FOOD AND FILM, the award-winning MUBI Podcast returns. It celebrates its tenth season with a four-course serving of stories about food on film. Titled “A Feast For The Eyes”, the series digs into the ways filmmakers use food to provoke hunger. It features guests including Brad Bird (Ratatouille), Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding), and David Gelb (Jiro Dreams of Sushi). It also includes cult NY Times food writer Alison Roman, and more. The first episode will be released on Thanksgiving, 27 November.
Let’s Eat! A Film Feast, an all-day celebration of cinema’s most delicious stories, will also take over the Cinema at Selfridges from 2 pm until late evening on Thursday 20 November. Enjoy culinary cult classics and tasty new films on the big screen, food-obsessed talks, a pop-up exhibition, and a food-and-film quiz.

STREAMING ON MUBI
Beginning with the release of Winter in Sokcho (Koya Kamura) on 7 November, the platform will showcase a wide-ranging programme of films. In these films, food takes centre stage. From cult classics to contemporary discoveries, titles include The Lunchbox (Ritesh Batra), La Cocina (Alonso Ruizpalacios), and Flux Gourmet (Peter Strickland). Additionally, The Taste of Things (Trần Anh Hùng), Dessert for Constance (Sarah Maldoror), and many more are included.
MUBI PODCAST SEASON 10: “A FEAST FOR THE EYES”
Just in time for holiday eat-a-thons, the award-winning MUBI Podcast is back and celebrating its tenth season with a four-course serving of stories about food on film. Titled “A Feast For The Eyes,” the season digs into the ways filmmakers use food to provoke hunger, thought, nausea, political action… and sometimes all the above.
Joining host Rico Gagliano is a sampler platter of luminaries from the film and culinary worlds. This includes directors Brad Bird (Ratatouille), Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding), and David Gelb (Jiro Dreams of Sushi). NY Times food writer Alison Roman, and more, are also featured. NOTEBOOK MAGAZINE ISSUE 8: “SHOESTRING SPAGHETTI”
Available January 2026, the next issue of MUBI’s print magazine Notebook, titled Shoestring Spaghetti, will take a fresh, in-depth look at the intersection of food and cinema. Highlights include “The Alfred Hitchcock Dinner Hour,” featuring rare archival photographs and recipes from the Hitchcock household; “Across the Table,” a series of conversations between critics and culinary experts; “Eating is Not the Point,” an exploration of the Hollywood power lunch written by filmmaker Courtney Stephens, and contributions from cultural figures such as George Miller, Wesley Morris, Eileen Myles and more.
