Get ready across the most hostile terrain in the galaxy in Star Wars: Galactic Racer, the latest game from Fuse and Lucasfilm Games.
From the Boonta Eve Classic to the endless dunes of Jakku, it’s time to fire up your engines for Star Wars: Galactic Racer. The hottest new racing game is emerging from the Outer Rim in 2026, and today, the team behind the game has unveiled the first teaser for the high-octane action! The high-speed teaser shows racers on all types of landspeeders and speederbikes navigating locations like Jakku and Ando Prime. But what can we expect from this epic new Star Wars game?
Thankfully, the project team has shared the first teaser trailer. While it doesn’t reveal any gameplay footage, the teaser gives a taste of what we can expect when we line up on the starting line! Take a look below.
SYNOPSIS
The Empire’s grip on the galaxy has finally broken, and with its fall comes a new obsession: speed. As the New Republic struggles to rebuild – gambling, entertainment, and glory fuel a booming underground. Out of this chaos, the Galactic League is born: an unsanctioned racing circuit where syndicates sponsor pilots, fortunes are won and lost in seconds, and only the bold survive.
At the heart of it all is Shade, a lone racer with a dream of glory and revenge. For Shade, the League isn’t just a race; it’s a shot at reclaiming destiny. But standing in Shade’s way is Kestar, a ruthless rival who has his own power-hungry plans for the League.
As the Galactic League rises, so does the rivalry that could define it. Shade must forge alliances, outpace rivals, and survive long enough to become an elite racing pilot.
Speed across new and iconic Star Wars planets, with every world hosting a new kind of chaos. It’s not enough to be fast, you have to know your circuits: branching routes, varied environments, and dynamic risk-reward choices ensure no two runs play the same.
Select from multiple repulsorcraft classes, each with distinct handling and tactical advantages. Customize your build, unlock new abilities on every run, and master brutal takedowns.
Choose which events to conquer as you race through a dynamic campaign of speed, sabotage, and survival, or battle rivals for supremacy in competitive multiplayer.
No Force. No prophecy. Just skill, strategy, and the will to rise.

THE GAME
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is filled with new characters and locations, like Sentinel One revealed in the trailer for the very first time. “It’s home to a Skakoan listening station built on a vast planetary scale with huge antennas littering the landscape,” Webster reveals. “It’s also a toxic wasteland that’s been plundered for minerals with bright yellow rivers of acid that criss-cross the dark rocky terrain. These hazards inform unique racing tactics for players as the toxic fumes will interfere with your engines.”
And beyond Jakku, the trailer promises to reunite fans with the dastardly Dug who tried to cheat his way to the Boonta Eve Classic title against Anakin Skywalker — Sebulba. “There’s so much love for Sebulba on the team and across the Star Wars community,” Webster says. “There are particular reasons why he finds his way into our trailer as well as a detail in this shot that may lead to even more questions…the answers to which we’ll have to leave to another time!”
Chesko, Sebulba. We’ll be counting down the days until our next match when Star Wars: Galactic Racer arrives.

RELEASE
What a phenomenal first teaser. The gameplay harkens back to the classic days of Star Wars: Episode I Podracer, where players zoomed across the galaxy competing in the fastest races. But this modern interpretation thrusts us into wartorn circuits like Jakku and Ando Prime, dodging the wreckage of Star Destroyers and AT-AT Walkers! And that is an exciting prospect, especially when you throw in our old friend Sebulba!
Sadly, the developers have not revealed an expected street date for the game. So be sure to check back regularly for the latest updates as they emerge from the studio. But based on this first look, I’d wager Star Wars: Galactic Racer is now hitting the top of every fan’s wishlist. I’ll see you on the starting grid!
