The First Trailer for Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic Emerges From the Outer Rim!

Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic new role-playing game from Arcanaut Studios and Lucasfilm Games tells an all new story helmed by game director Casey Hudson.

Before the dark times…before the Empire! Lucasfilm Games and Arcanaut Studios have announced an all-new epic narrative single-player action role-playing game titled Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic. The game will be developed by a new studio launched by Casey Hudson, the director of the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and the Mass Effect trilogy, and will follow a lone Jedi Knight on a quest of epic proportions. But what can we expect from this epic new Star Wars game?

Thankfully, the project team has shared the first teaser trailer. While it doesn’t reveal any gameplay footage, the teaser gives a taste of what we can expect when we ignite our lightsabers at launch! Take a look below.

THE GAME

Led by Casey Hudson, Game Director of the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and the Mass Effect trilogy, the team of veteran game developers and storytellers at Arcanaut Studios is crafting an epic interactive adventure across a galaxy on the brink of rebirth, where every decision shapes your path towards light or darkness.

Sadly, the developers have not revealed an expected street date for the game. So be sure to check back regularly for the latest updates as they emerge from the studio. But based on this first look, I’d wager Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic is now hitting the top of every fan’s wishlist!
