Get your artifacts out. She’s on her way… Get your first look at Sophie Turner as Lara Croft in Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Tomb Raider series for Prime Video.
Just days after Prime Video announced the full cast of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Tomb Raider series, the streamer has revealed our first look at Sophie Turner in costume as Lara Croft. The costume is a throwback to the classic game franchise featuring small black shorts, a cropped green top, and the character’s iconic leg holsters. Rounding out the ensemble are Lara’s traditional rose-tinted sunglasses. But before we swing into action, scroll down and check out our first look below.

In addition to Sophie Turner, who takes over from previous stars Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, the series will star Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Celia Imrie, and more. But if that isn’t enough, the fantastic ensemble cast will be bringing a treasure trove of legacy characters from the in-game universe to life.

CANON ROLES
As mentioned, the series will be bringing some of the biggest canon characters to life. The legacy characters involved are:
- Martin Bobb-Semple is Zip. Zip is Lara Croft’s long-standing tech support and friend.
- Jason Isaacs is Atlas DeMornay. Atlas is Lara’s uncle.
- Bill Paterson is Winston. Winston is the long-standing Croft family butler.
NEW CHARACTERS
In addition to the legacy characters, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and her team have designed a treasure trove of new characters to join Lara on her latest adventure. This is where we find Hollywood legend Sigourney Weaver. Read on for more.
- Jack Bannon is Gerry. Gerry is Lara’s personal pilot and snack collector.
- John Heffernan is David. David is an exhausted government official who finds himself tangled up in Lara’s unusual world.

- Paterson Joseph is Thomas Warner. Thomas Warner is a senior government official brought in to clean up an almighty mess.
- Sasha Luss is Sasha. Sasha is a fierce, deeply competitive new adversary of Lara’s.
- Juliette Motamed is Georgia. Georgia is a devoted, by-the-books curator at the British Museum, dedicated to the ‘proper’ preservation of history.
- Sigourney Weaver is Evelyn Wallis. A mysterious, high-flying woman who is keen to exploit Lara’s talents.
- August Wittgenstein is Lukas. Lukas is an illegal raider who shares history with Lara in more ways than one.

A BOLD NEW DIRECTION
Filming on the new Tomb Raider is now officially underway. The series is executive produced by Crystal Dynamics, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Jenny Robins through Wells Street Productions, as well as Dmitri M. Johnson, Mike Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson through Story Kitchen, Michael Scheel, and Legendary Television.
Waller-Bridge believes that with Tomb Raider, she can do something “dangerous and exciting.” She also emphasized the large number of Lara Croft fans that she aims to satisfy.
