ABOUT LUPIN III
First appearing over 50 years ago in Monkey Punch’s original manga, the master thief Lupin III, his criminal cohorts, and the determined Inspector Zenigata have starred in adventures across a range of tones and styles. These stories nurtured talent who would become Japan’s most celebrated filmmakers. The creators include the legendary Studio Ghibli co-founders Hayao Miyazaki and the late Isao Takahata. Furthermore, B-movie icon Seijun Suzuki (Branded to Kill, Lupin III: The Legend of the Gold of Babylon), and modern breakthroughs like Takashi Yamazaki (Godzilla Minus One, Lupin III: The First) have contributed. With anime films fast emerging as a global box office force, they can rival even Hollywood blockbusters. There’s no better time to explore the stories that defined the medium.

Lupin The IIIrd: The Movie – The Immortal Bloodline is releasing in cinemas in Japanese with English subtitles from Saturday, 21st February.
