Ninja Kiwi brings back the undead with the brand-new demo for Zombie Assault: Resurgence, available now and throughout Steam Next Fest.
Ninja Kiwi, the acclaimed studio behind the hit Bloons franchise, has announced a new Steam Next Fest demo for Zombie Assault: Resurgence. The latest game in the Zombie Assault series is set to launch in 2026. Players who try out the demo can actively contribute to a community kill count. In fact, completing this kill count will unlock an exclusive weapon at launch. Get ready to make your mark!
Set 100 years after the last game in the Zombie Assault series, Zombie Assault: Resurgence gives players the chance to step into the role of an elite mercenary across three distinct classes. Players will face down new and returning threats in the search for the secrets behind the return of humanity’s old enemy.
THE NEXT FEST DEMO
Running from February 23rd to March 2nd, the next fest demo brings three classes, three distinct maps and five game modes full of zombie blasting action. Additionally, players will face down two terrifying bosses: the regurgitator and the shredder. You can tackle this solo or team up with a total of four players in online co-op. In between missions, players can level up and upgrade weapons at the Aegis Station. They can also accept bounties and test powerful builds before deploying on increasingly challenging missions. More features and deadly tools will be available at the full launch of the game.

During the Next Fest demo, players will be able to contribute to a global community kill count. Every zombie kill counts toward a shared total. If the community hits the target by the end of Next Fest, everyone who participated will unlock an exclusive weapon at full launch. The Morlok Frostbite Pistol, a unique cryo-based sidearm, will only be available to those who joined the hunt.
