Milly Alcock stars as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl in the second film in the new DCU in Supergirl. Check out the new trailer here.
After the release of the first trailer a while back, all eyes have been fixed on when we would be getting a new look at the upcoming second film in the new DCU, Supergirl. After making her appearance at the climax of last Summer’s Superman, Milly Alcock returns to play Kara Zor-El / Supergirl in her own solo film. Also featuring Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa, the film takes to the skies on June 26th. The lovable Krypto also makes a return appearance in the film, as does David Corenswet, returning the favour by appearing as Kal-El / Clark Kent/Superman. Today is the day we have been waiting for, as the second trailer arrives from Krypton. Let’s take a new look:
THE PREMISE
When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.
WOW! What an incredible second trailer. It goes to show that the new DCU is still flying high. The film looks to be a highly entertaining, thrilling, gripping and enjoyable superhero film that will lay down a marker for movie summer box office. You can already see that the fans and non-fans alike will love it. Plus, fans of the franchise will have great fun discovering how this next chapter plays out and how the storylines advance. Assuming that Kara can stay away from alcohol and stay sober long enough! And with Jason Momoa playing the role he has begging for and aching to play for years in Lobo, we could be in for something special. Throw in our first look as David Corenswet as Superman in the trailer, and our expectations are now up, up and away!
