Are you sure you want to go for a scary ride? Don’t the dark roads scare you? Positive, you want to get into that car? If the answers are yes, then Paramount Pictures has the perfect movie for you. Hitting screens on May 22nd is the chilling movie, Passenger. The film is directed by André Øvredal. Following on from his criminally underrated and underseen movie, Last Voyage Of The Demeter, Øvredal returns to deliver another nightmare for us to experience. Featuring a cast that includes Jacob Scipio, Lou Llobell, and Melissa Leo, the official trailer for the film has pulled over to the side of the road and opened its door for us to enter. Let’s take a look.
THE PREMISE
After a young couple witnesses a gruesome highway accident, they soon realize they did not leave the crash scene alone, as a demonic presence called the Passenger that won’t stop until it claims them both turns their van life adventure into a nightmare.
As you can see from the trailer, the film is a road to hell. All our fears and nightmares come to life in a way that will have the audience screaming into their popcorn and clutching the arms of their seat in sheer terror. It has the potential to become the horror hit of the year. It could easily be the ultimate vehicular nightmare movie.
