Discover how Prince Adam became He-Man in the International trailer for Masters of the Universe!
By the power of Grayskull! Amazon MGM Studios has released a new International trailer for the upcoming live-action Masters of the Universe movie, and as expected, it is packed with He-Man iconography. Although the trailer is light on new footage, it delivers everything from Cringer, Prince Adam’s loyal green cat, attacking invaders, to Man-At-Arms blasting baddies left and right. And of course, no He-Man trailer worth its salt would be without Nicholas Galitzine’s He-Man facing off against Jared Leto’s Skeletor. Unleash the power of Castle Grayskull and watch the trailer below.
SYNOPSIS
In MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, Director Travis Knight brings the legendary franchise back to the big screen in this epic live-action adventure. After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.

CAST & CREATIVES
The cast of Masters of the Universe features an impressive array of talent. In addition to Galitzine and Leto, the film showcases the remarkable performances of Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms (also known as Duncan), and Alison Brie as Skeletor’s loyal second-in-command, Evil-Lyn. Morena Baccarin takes on the role of The Sorceress, while Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson portrays Malcolm, better known as Fisto. The lineup also includes Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, and Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops. Rounding out the cast, James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley portray He-Man’s parents, King Randor and Queen Marlena.

RELEASE
The film was previously in the Netflix developmental machine with a succession of writers and directors attached to bring the project to life. But the streamer could never get the project off the ground. Now that the rights have fallen into Amazon MGM Studios’ lap, the film is finally back on track, with Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) directing from a script by Chris Butler, with initial drafts by David Callaham, Aaron & Adam Nee.
Masters of the Universe will receive a theatrical release on June 5, 2026.
