Get ready to experience the Ghost War as Jack Ryan returns to Prime Video. On Friday, May 15, Amazon MGM Studios declassified TOM CLANCY’S JACK RYAN: GHOST WAR, directed by Andrew Bernstein, at the World Premiere. As a result, informants and insiders came together in New York City’s Regal Times Square. The venue was a buzz with talent, filmmakers and attendees. They gathered for a night full of action.
THE OPERATIVES IN ATTENDANCE
The operatives rendezvoused at Quality Bistro for a debrief that was no low-profile event. Film talent in attendance at the afterparty included stars John Krasinski, Sienna Miller, Michael Kelly, Max Beesley, Betty Gabriel, and JJ Feild. Additionally, Director Andrew Bernstein attended the event. In addition, all systems were a go as the attendees celebrated another successful mission!
Additional celebrity attendees included Emily Blunt, Matthew Rhys, Kevin Kane, Aimé Donna Kelly, Ramona Singer, Racquel Chevremont, Mia Alario and more.
THE FILMS’ PREMISE
In this new film, Jack Ryan is reluctantly thrust back into the world of espionage. An international covert mission unravels a deadly conspiracy. This forces him to confront a rogue black-ops unit, and the clock is ticking. Operating in real time with lives on the line and the threat escalating at every turn. Jack reunites with battle-tested CIA operative Mike November (Michael Kelly) and former CIA boss James Greer (Wendell Pierce). Their combined experience is the only edge they have against an enemy who knows their every move. Backed by an unlikely new partner – razor-sharp MI6 officer Emma Marlowe (Sienna Miller) – Jack and the team navigate a treacherous web of betrayal. They are facing a past they thought was long put to rest. This makes the situation the most personal, high-stakes mission any of them has ever faced.

MY THOUGHTS
I shall be seeing the film tomorrow night, and can’t wait to get my teeth into a new Jack Ryan adventure. You see, this is the Jack Ryan I like. A harder-edged one, akin to the Harrison Ford portrayal of the character in Patriot Games. Though I won’t take anything away from Alec Baldwin’s interpretation in The Hunt For Red October (his version fitted that particular story), it was the nastier, more adult version that I prefer. The four seasons of the series on Prime Video had me falling in love with the character all over again. Krasinski’s portrayal was a winning and highly enjoyable one. In addition, with the new film bringing Krasinski back as the character, and with his contribution to the screenplay, fans like me could be in for a Jack Ryan movie for the ages. That is an exciting prospect for fans and non-fans alike.
