This is the way…to fill Grogu’s stomach! Disney today announces a collaboration bringing together worlds of culinary creativity and galactic storytelling. Renowned chef, broadcaster, and lifelong Star Wars super fan Jamie Oliver joins director, co-writer, and producer Jon Favreau and star Pedro Pascal for a special cook-a-long. This event is celebrating the upcoming release of “STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU”. It hits cinemas on May 22nd.

The bespoke content sees Jamie guiding Jon and Pedro through a fun steak sandwich recipe or the newly named “the Grogu sandwich”, inspired by the Star Wars universe. The collaboration features a very special appearance from the real Grogu, adding an unmistakable touch of Star Wars charm.

The cook-a-long content will be released across Disney UK’s YouTube channel in collaboration with Jamie Oliver’s platforms.

JAMIE OLIVER

Jamie Oliver said:

“My earliest Star Wars memory is sitting on the floor with an array of Star Wars figures around me, including the Millennium Falcon, and it just felt like the coolest, most wonderful, fantastical world. I reckon I was about six years old at the time. Star Wars was probably one of the first films that really turned itself into a brand and allowed you to relive the film through play. As a kid, that was just amazing.

And I’m so happy there is a new Star Wars movie to watch in cinemas with my kids. Bringing this to life with Jon and Pedro – and of course Grogu – was incredibly special. I got to chat Star Wars, meet Grogu and cook with some of my heroes! Amazing.”

THE FILM’S PREMISE

The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.

Directed by Jon Favreau, “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu” also stars Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Noah Kloor wrote the film. Kathleen Kennedy, Ian Bryce, Jon Favreau, and Dave Filoni produced it, while Karen Gilchrist, John Bartnicki, and Carrie Beck took on the roles of executive producers. Additionally, the music is composed by Ludwig Göransson.
