Truth. Justice. Whatever. The new trailer for DC’s Supergirl has arrived! Check out your first look at Milly Alcock’s highly anticipated debut as the Girl of Steel and secure your tickets today.

Following yesterday’s reveal of a suitably awesome batch of character posters, James Gunn has unveiled a thrilling new trailer for DC’s Supergirl. With just three weeks to go before Kara Zor-El soars onto the big screen, the trailer arrives alongside the launch of advance ticket sales.

After making an unforgettable debut in her cousin’s big-screen adventure—crash-landing into the Fortress of Solitude—fans have been eager to discover what lies ahead for Kara Zor-El. Drawing inspiration from the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic series and featuring the long-awaited debut of Jason Momoa’s Lobo, the film has all the ingredients of a standout DC epic. But what exactly can audiences expect from Craig Gillespie’s superhero spectacle? With a brand-new trailer now arriving from Metropolis, we’re finally getting some answers, so hit play and check it out below.

TRUTH. JUSTICE. WHATEVER!

What a phenomenal new trailer. The adventure takes us from this world to another, where Kara finds herself in over her head and fighting insurmountable odds. But when you’re the cousin of Superman, you’re never truly alone, and Kara’s enemies get more than they bargained for when Krypto arrives with a vengeance. But with Lobo hot on her trail and an army of thugs to fight, Kara might just need a little more help… if she can pull herself away from her penchant for alcoholic beverages, of course!

SYNOPSIS

When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.

CAST & CREW

Supergirl stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, better known as Supergirl, alongside Matthias Schoenaerts as the ruthless Krem of the Yellow Hills and Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll. The supporting cast includes David Krumholtz as Kara’s father, Zor-El, and Emily Beecham as her mother, Alura In-Ze. Former Aquaman star Jason Momoa also joins the DC Universe as the infamous Lobo, the foul-mouthed bounty hunter and mercenary from the planet Czarnia. Yet, following his scene-stealing debut in Superman, perhaps the most anticipated cast member is Kara’s loyal canine companion, Krypto, who looks set to cause plenty of chaos throughout the film.

GIRL OF TOMORROW

While I found Kara’s drunken introduction somewhat tonally jarring, I’m intrigued to see how this fresh interpretation of the character develops. James Gunn appears to be establishing a clear direction for the new DC Universe, presenting its heroes as flawed individuals burdened by personal demons before they evolve into the iconic figures audiences know and love. It’s an approach that feels both refreshing and full of potential.

Milly Alcock, meanwhile, looks completely at home in the role, seamlessly fitting into this new era of DC storytelling. Based on what we’ve seen so far, her performance promises to be one of the film’s biggest strengths. If the latest trailer is any indication, Supergirl could deliver a thrilling adventure, especially with Momoa’s Lobo threatening to steal the show!

RELEASE

It has now been confirmed that Ramin Djawadi will compose the film’s score. Djawadi famously composed the soundtracks for Iron Man, Game of Thrones, Clash of the Titans, and Pacific Rim, so he is more than up to the task of bringing the sound of DC’s next blockbuster to life. But can Gillespie build on the foundations of James Gunn’s big-screen relaunch? All will be revealed when the Girl of Steel swoops into cinemas in just over THREE WEEKS!

Supergirl will release in UK and Irish cinemas on June 25, 2026, from Warner Bros. Pictures.
