Lionsgate has released the first trailer for GHOSTS: The Possession of Button House, directed by Simon Hynd, and released in UK and Ireland cinemas on 23 October. The beloved and award-winning BBC comedy GHOSTS arrives on the big screen this Halloween. Moreover, GHOSTS’ stars, writers, and creators Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard, and Ben Willbond are back. Lolly Adefope, Charlotte Ritchie, and Kiell Smith-Bynoe also star in a feature-length family adventure. As a result, GHOSTS: The Possession of Button House will be haunting cinemas in the UK and Ireland from October 23.

Produced by Monumental Television, GHOSTS ran for five series on BBC One. The final episode drew in 7.2 million viewers, making it the most-watched comedy series of 2023 in the UK. Meanwhile, the popular US version is currently enjoying its fifth season. Lionsgate Television teams up with CBS Studios and BBC Studios LA to produce it, and a sixth season has already been commissioned. The format has now reached six territories internationally, with Czechia being the latest to acquire it. Local adaptations have also been created in France, Germany, Australia, and Greece. BBC Studios handles the distribution of both the series and its format.
