The two-part documentary Rolf Harris: Primetime Predator is available to stream now on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland.
For decades, he was one of the most recognizable faces on British television, beloved by audiences for his seemingly wholesome persona. But behind the fame and success lay a far darker reality. Now, a new documentary is set to examine the shocking truth behind the disgraced entertainer’s double life.
Amazon has announced that Rolf Harris: Primetime Predator, a two-part documentary exploring the rise and fall of the former TV star, is now available to stream on Prime Video across the UK and Ireland.
The disturbing documentary pulls back the veil of secrecy surrounding Harris’ career and takes us beyond the headlines to reveal the true depth of his predatory nature. Featuring survivors who have never spoken publicly before, the series brings together the full story of one of entertainment’s most disturbing double lives, charting Harris’s rise from suburban Perth to the heights of British fame while revealing the pattern of abuse that unfolded behind the scenes for decades.

THE TRUTH
This compelling documentary tells the complete story for the first time, including survivors who until now have remained anonymous. Across two episodes, the series traces Harris’s extraordinary rise from the suburbs of Perth to the pinnacle of British establishment life, while simultaneously uncovering the pattern of abuse that ran in parallel for decades. Harris died in 2023, aged 93, having shown no public remorse, but his death has finally lifted a veil of fear once cast by this powerful figure, and survivors who long feared retribution are at last able to speak.

A LEGACY OF ABUSE
Rolf Harris: Primetime Predator is more than a story about a disgraced celebrity. It is an examination of how charisma, institutional loyalty, and cultural reverence allowed a predator to flourish, and a testament to the courage of those who refused to let his crimes be forgotten.
The documentary has been crafted by director Nick Sweeney, whose filmography to date has focused on the exploration of power and gender. Together with Executive Producers Karina Holden and John Smithson and with the backing of Northern Pictures and Arrow Media, Sweeney has pierced the veil with this cutting-edge project to reveal the true extent of Harris’ crimes. We even hear from Harris himself, who, through archival footage, interviews, and recordings, becomes an unwitting narrator as the story unfolds. His familiar voice, once trusted by millions, is redeployed to expose the gap between the persona and the reality.

RELEASE
Having watched the documentary, it’s hard not to be struck by the scale of what is now widely regarded as one of the most significant cover-ups in British entertainment history. The questions surrounding the BBC’s awareness of his behavior are likely to spark serious debate, and rightly so.
The film also raises difficult but important questions about how he was able to continue unchecked for so long, despite a long history of allegations. Combined with deeply unsettling testimony from victims, the documentary makes for a gripping and often harrowing watch. So head over to Prime Video and dedicate a couple of hours to the unmasking of a true sexual predator.
