Apple TV today unveiled the trailer for the highly anticipated second season of the Spanish-language crime drama “Las Azules” (“Women in Blue”). The series showcases the creative talents of International Emmy Award-winning showrunner and director Fernando Rovzar, known for “Monarca,” alongside Pablo Aramendi, recognized for “Tijuana.” “Women in Blue” (“Las Azules”) season two will make its global debut on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, on Apple TV. Afterward, the show will air one episode weekly through September 30.
THE PREMISE
“Las Azules” (“Women in Blue”) season two will follow María (Bárbara Mori), now promoted to lieutenant. She feels the tension between the rules she’s sworn to uphold and her strong urge to uncover the truth. This internal conflict ignites when authorities discover the body of a student activist. The Azules dive into the investigation, digging deep into the student massacre of 1968. As they piece together disturbing findings, they uncover another body linked to that horrific chapter in history. The repercussions ripple through the department, leaving everyone on edge.
Someone is delivering justice straight to the police’s door, and the Azules are the department’s last hope of stopping the killer. As María, Valentina (Natalia Téllez), Gabina (Amorita Rasgado), and Ángeles (Ximena Sariñana) battle against both personal and external conflicts within the precinct, buried truths come to light. Meanwhile, they confront a challenging question. In a system rife with corruption, what does it truly cost to stand up for their ideals?

In addition to Mori, Sariñana, Téllez, and Rasgado, the series also stars Miguel Rodarte, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Christian Tappan, Horacio García Rojas, and Bruno Bichir.
