John Cena drifts into adventure with the new trailer and teaser poster for Apple TV’s Matchbox: The Movie. The film is coming out this October.
Get ready to return to the toybox again this October. After many movies inspired by classic toys and games, it is now time for our favorite cars to hit screens. Apple Original Films has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming action feature “Matchbox The Movie” starring John Cena. The film will premiere globally on October 9th. Inspired by Mattel’s much-loved creations, the film is a globetrotting adventure. The film also stars Jessica Biel, Arturo Castro, Sam Richardson, Teyonah Parris, Danai Gurira, Golshifteh Farahani, Cory Stoll, and Bill Camp. As a result, the film looks to be an entertaining movie for the whole family.

THE PREMISE
Inspired by the iconic Mattel toys, “Matchbox The Movie” is an action-packed, globetrotting adventure about a group of friends since childhood. Their lives are thrown into chaos when undercover CIA agent Sean (John Cena), their long-missing former leader, suddenly returns to their small town. Before they know it, he drags them into a wild international chase to save the world.
“Matchbox The Movie,” an Apple Original Film from Skydance Media and Mattel Studios, is directed and executive produced by Sam Hargrave, with a screenplay by David Coggeshall. Producers include David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger for Skydance, along with Robbie Brenner and Ynon Kreiz for Mattel Studios. Jules Daly also joins as producer, while Patrick Newall and Elizabeth Bassin serve as executive producers.
Matchbox: The Movie will premiere globally on October 9th on Apple TV.
