All wings report in, because we’ve got some seriously cool Star Wars news flying in from a galaxy not so far away! Disney’s D23 Expo is officially underway in Anaheim, and the news is already pouring out of the event faster than an X-wing scrambling from the launch bay. Among the first big treats for fans? The Mandalorian and Grogu are finally coming home to Disney+! That’s right, on 2nd September, fans can reunite with Din Djarin and his pint-sized Force-wielding apprentice when Jon Favreau’s big-screen Star Wars adventure makes its streaming debut.
It’s the kind of big, bombastic family adventure that feels tailor-made for a night on the sofa. Now, that adventure is coming home, and we are 100% here for it! So, polish the Beskar, charge the remote, and prepare for another round of Mando and Grogu mayhem.

We were lucky enough to catch The Mandalorian and Grogu at a very early screening, and let’s just say… we had an absolute blast! From explosive action and galactic mayhem to the unbeatable duo of Mando and Grogu, there was plenty to get excited about. Ordinarily, the Disney+ arrival would be more than enough to have us leaping around the room like we’ve just discovered a crate of spare Beskar. However, Lucasfilm has decided to throw another tasty treat our way.
THE OFFICIAL PODCAST
The “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu Official Podcast” is also on the way, promising a behind-the-scenes journey into the making of this summer’s big-screen adventure. So, if you’ve ever wondered how the heck you bring Din Djarin, Grogu, aliens, droids, space battles, and all that glorious Star Wars mayhem to life, this should be right up your hyperspace lane. The podcast will launch on Disney+ on 3rd September at 2:00 am BST, with two episodes arriving right out of the gate:
Episode 1: “Growing Up”
Episode 2: “Bigger & Different”
The two-episode series is designed to take Star Wars’ biggest and newest fans behind the scenes of “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu,” in conjunction with the film’s release on Disney+. Shot on the movie’s Adelphi Base Bar set, guests include director/co-writer/producer Jon Favreau, Lucasfilm President and CCO Dave Filoni, who also co-wrote and produced the film, Academy Award®-winning composer Ludwig Göransson, and the on-screen stars of the film, Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver. Even Grogu himself swings by to inject a heavy dose of cuteness into the series as the creative team discusses the ingredients that made this film so special, as both a fresh chapter in Star Wars’remarkable history and an exciting new page in the Mandalorian and Grogu’s own stories.
Video episodes of the podcast will live on Disney+ and YouTube, while audio-only episodes will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Pandora, Amazon Music, SiriusXM, iHeart Radio, and TuneIn.
MANDO GETS THE LEGO TREATMENT!
If the arrival of The Mandalorian and Grogu on Disney+ isn’t enough to have you dusting off the Beskar, then hold onto your helmets because Mando is getting the LEGO treatment! That’s right, Din Djarin and Grogu are about to enter the wonderfully chaotic world of LEGO Star Wars in an all-new animated special. LEGO® Star Wars: The Mandalorian will revisit stories from the hit series with a fresh, playful twist, delivering plenty of brick-built mayhem for families and younger audiences to enjoy. And it gets even better. The first trailer has just flown in from Disney’s D23 Expo, where the galaxy far, far away is already making a spectacular first impression during the event’s Star Wars reveal panels.
