Vision is on the run, Ultron is back, and Marvel has just dropped a jaw-dropping first look at VisionQuest at D23.
The big reveals just keep coming from D23 Expo, and Marvel Studios has just delivered one of the event’s biggest surprises yet! During the Marvel Studios presentation, Kevin Feige unveiled the first jaw-dropping trailer for VisionQuest, the highly anticipated new Disney+ series starring Paul Bettany. The all-new eight-episode series comes from Star Trek: Picard Season 3 showrunner Terry Matalas and will premiere exclusively on Disney+ from October 14, 2026.
But what exactly can we expect when Vision returns to the MCU? Thankfully, Feige arrived at D23 armed with plenty of answers. First up, let’s explore that phenomenal new trailer!
VISION RETURNS!
After regaining his memories from the Hex-born Vision, White Vision took to the skies in search of a new purpose. Choosing to disappear from the world and live a quiet, peaceful existence, Vision seemingly finds the solitude he craves. But, as is so often the case in the MCU, peace and quiet don’t last long. When a bounty is placed on his head, Vision suddenly finds himself being hunted by a collection of physical, personified manifestations of the artificial intelligence systems and programs once created by Tony Stark. With danger closing in from all sides, Vision is forced into an unlikely alliance with none other than Ultron, played once again by James Spader.
Yep, you read that correctly. Ultron is back! Together, Vision and his former nemesis must escape their pursuers as Vision attempts to finally take control of his own destiny. And judging by the spectacular first trailer, his journey is going to be anything but peaceful.
